You will all have heard of the threatening letter sent by an alleged BNP supporter to Simon Reed in Penzance. Simon who stands for MK in the area and who is a Cornish cultural campaigner and a member of the Celtic League and who has a lovely Japanese wife, Mayumi and young son. We immediately rallied to Simon's support and gave practical assistance in dealing with the police and media as well as taking a very nerve wracked Simes for a pint or two of Rattler's and a good chat ! Four of us drove to Penzance and spent several hours with him and he was flooded with messages of support. The letter he received was truly terrible but as Simon was told several times, 'No Cornish person ever stands alone !'

In a subsequent report in the Cornishman/Western Morning News, several abusive comments were left below the on line version of the article by posters identifying themselves as 'Gary, Saltash' and 'Big Ger, Truro'. Gary, Saltash actually posts on the Cornwall 24 website as 'JezzaReballsed' and both he and Big Ger who lives in Malabar, Truro and who came here from London are BNP sympathisers. They both tried to compare MK with the BNP (both 'Nationalist' parties (their words) and suggested the letter had been fabricated). We were immediately in touch with Jo, Northcliffe's Digital Editor and a friend of ours who had all the comments instantly removed and a bar placed on further remarks.

We also arranged with Jo a few months ago to have the This Is Cornwall forum made defunct to bar these racists from airing their anti Cornish views.

BNP graffiti which later appeared overnight in the Redruth area has been reported to owners of hoardings etc with a request that it be urgently removed.

Aye, he complained that the locals (all white indidgenous natives) didn't like him because he was a foreign immigrant...The irony... :dunce:

The guy on Skye though is a mate of mine, I've done a lot of business with him & he has a similar taste in music...
