More from Traquair:
Nice to see Alex Salmond being pro-active in terms of Westminster deigning to have their cabinet visit Scotland for the first in almost 90 years. "Mr Salmond said the UK cabinet meeting in Glasgow was an ideal opportunity for joint discussions. It would clearly be in the national interest to work together, particularly on the economic recovery plan - Alex Salmond
He wrote: "This will be the first time that the UK cabinet will meet in Scotland since devolution and indeed the first time since the Inverness cabinet meeting of 1921.
"I propose that this is a joint meeting of the Scottish and UK cabinets.
"Given the various responsibilities that each government has, it would clearly be in the national interest to work together, particularly on the economic recovery plan."

And what is the response from Westminster – apparently just more lies and dirty tactics -
"A spokesman for the Scotland Office said the proposal was not necessary.
He said: "The UK and Scottish Governments have good communications channels " - well there is a great lie, apparently Murphy was not even aware of Alex Salmond's long planned and high profile China trip !! And apparently Ambassador Murphy had the following response - "Scottish Secretary Jim Murphy said he believed he could have "a good discussion" with Mr Salmond over dinner."

Could these puppets be any more condescending ?
I wonder if that would be over Pizza like when Brown tried to corrupt democracy and deny the Scottish people their chosen SNP Government ?
"Sir Menzies reveals Brown's secret talks on pact to deny SNP power"
"GORDON Brown held two secret meetings with Sir Menzies Campbell during last year's Scottish election campaign in an attempt to forge a new Labour-Liberal Democrat coalition and keep the SNP out of power,"

How much longer are Scots going to tolerate these scum ruling us ?
"Mister Salmond should use his position as head of the Scottish Executive to do one of his real jobs."
You mean like drum up trade for Scotland on a very successful trip to China which received minimal and mainly negative coverage in the 'Scottish' press.

Read it here, cause you certainly won't read about it in the 'Scottish' press.

Even in Communist China it would appear that there is more reasonable coverage of the Scottish Governments significant efforts to drum up business for Scotland. Here is sample of a number of articles which starkly contrast with the stream of negative and minimalistic coverage of Scotland's 'leading' newspaper.

"Saltire Scholarships encourage more Chinese to study in Scotland "
"The secretary also signed a groundbreaking partnership between Shanghai University's College of Digital Arts - the first such dedicated facility in China - and the University of Abertay in Dundee, Scotland's centre of excellence in computer games education. "
"Both the Scottish and Chinese governments have agreed to sponsor research collaboration between academics in Scotland and China. The partnership will aim to create and maintain sustainable relationships between Chinese and Scottish higher education institutions or research consortia."

"Scottish and Chinese stem cell experts sign landmark deal"
"Two of the world's leading centres for stem cell research today signed an agreement to work more closely together.
Representatives from the Scottish Centre for Regenerative Medicine (SCRM) at the University of Edinburgh and China's National Centre for International Research in Stem Cells (NCIR) gathered in Beijing to seal the "landmark" deal to increase collaboration on stem cell treatments.
The move was welcomed by Scotland's First Minister Alex Salmond, who is nearing the end of a Scottish Government visit to China."

"Scotland's First Minister, Alex Salmond of the Scottish National Party, continued a successful visit to China with a set of high-profile events in Beijing on Thursday. Several hundred guests from relevant professional bodies and the media gathered to attend events and seminars promoting Scotland as a partner for China in the fields of education, golf, and top-of-the-range whisky."
"But the principal focus of the evening was renewable energy, a field of massive potential for both countries and a field in which both countries have already invested considerable effort. Many westerners will be unaware that China already leads the world in the volume of renewable energy produced, while Scotland is at the leading-edge of technology development in the complementary fields of wave power, tidal power, and on- and offshore wind power"
"Mr Salmond's introduction was followed by a stimulating and forceful presentation by Professor McDonald. With a wealth of detail he emphasized the determination to keep Scotland at the forefront of renewable energy technology through a combination of academic effort and industrial activity, focusing on the fact that the country holds one quarter of Europe's total wind and marine power potential – a projected capacity of 60 GW of exploitable renewable energy resources by 2025."

"Scotch Whisky makes a splash in Shanghai " - The Brit Nats will love this reporting :)
"Alex Salmond is the First Minister of the Scottish Government in Edinburgh, Scotland's equivalent of the Prime Minister. "
" A decent acquaintanceship with Scotch Malt Whisky has become an essential prerequisite for any world citizen who wishes to project an image of sophistication. Over 40 different whiskies were available for tasting at the reception, at which a special bilingual introduction to whisky production and whisky appreciation was given by Charles Soong of the Edrington Group, "

"First Minister Alex Salmond is in China where he has launched the Scottish Prestige Golf Club. For an annual fee of about £2,650, Chinese players will get membership of a Scottish course, priority tee times and travel agency services. Venues already signed up include Gleneagles, in Perthshire, Carnoustie, in Angus, and Turnberry, in Ayrshire. "

In terms of the Scottish Ambassadors trip to China I understand that Jim Murphy tried to acquire a pair of Pandas :) And of course his coverage was more extensive and more positive. Just more Democracy British Style. Is it to much to demand at least a level playing field?
Just to emphasize the overt bias in the Scottish media here is what Jack Perry Chief executive, Scottish Enterprise had to say.

"When there is so much positive happening during the Scottish Government's business visit to China, it is regrettable that your report on Alex Salmond's visit to the country (10 April) came across as negative. We had arranged some time ago for Li Junfeng, deputy director of the Chinese Energy Research Institute, to speak at the conference on renewable energy collaboration between Scotland and China, and all those who heard him felt he made an excellent contribution. Scottish energy companies involved in China's growing market in renewables developed valuable connections with Chinese utility companies and other businesses in the sector.
I was further disappointed that you omitted to report the opening of Scottish-based SgurrEnergy's office in Beijing by the First Minister.
SgurrEnergy is involved in some huge projects, including work to assess 10,000km of Chinese coastline for offshore wind farm capabilities, and involvement in China's first western-funded wind farm, in Ballingmiao, Inner Mongolia.
We have had a wonderful reception and hospitality in Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong, and Scotland and Scottish businesses will be the winners from our highly productive and continuing relationship with China."
