Are any of these particularly Glaswegian?

Here's the ones I'm guessing are mostly Glasgow - the rest I've heard elsewhere (not just from Scots either - nut, lugs, conk, mitts and gob are all common south of the Border) -

Box, coupon/pan, ?bahookey (although Itchy Coo seems to use "bahookey" in its children's books to mean "haun"!), napper

Quote:
false teeth - wallies

i think this probably refers to the fact that they looked like they were made of porcelain/china. I always think of "wallies" as being the stuff auld wifies have on their mantelpiece.

How about this phrase - dinna nip ma heid!

That response was totally stupid. What is it with folk on this board that they have to attack each other at every bloody opportunity? No wonder you spend more of your time infighting than most anything else. :whiplash:

Is that so he can stick it in his pal's back all the time? Dinna hink so.

Seems to be the favourite hobby of nationalists though, bloody infighting. That's why so many things turn to mush.
