You'd think that with our contribution to world military history they'd at least give us brief mention!

Great band, saw them in bristol a few years back - blew me away !!! The only song i can think of wi a scottish reference is Sabotuers

Quote:
Dropped onto a world of ice, a plateau of frozen lakes
A nazi place of doom in their sights

Trained in camps on scottish heights, to commando saboteurs
The mission of their lives lies ahead

Called in to serve
And they knew what to do
They were the heroes of the cold, warrior soul
They sign the book of history, they played a leading role
To win the second war

Allied time was running short, they would race against the bomb
And as hours turn to days, time pass slow

As the nature test their strength, they would fight through night and day
To live amongst the wild, stay alive

Heroes of the telemark carry viking blood in veins
Warriors of the northern land, they live forever more

I did notice that when they toured the UK they used the Butcher's Apron for their beyond-Gretna gigs but the Saltire for Glasgow.

After that I went out and bought their CDs.

Atmospheric Black Metal is not everyone's glass o' malt, but there is a brilliant artist going by the name Arsaidh who has just released a new LP. I say artist as I think it is just one bloke, as opposed to a band, for as far as I can tell he plays all the instruments (he has in the past with other projects)

Again, is homegrown Black Metal with a Scottish atmosphere. Difficult listen, I imagine, if unfamiliar with the subgenre.
