October 3rd 1706.
A sad day in Scottish history. The last Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh before the Union with Westminster.
The photo is of Queensberry House where the original 1706 articles of the Union between England and Scotland were established. Queensbury House has been very carefully incorporated into the Scottish Parliament complex.
