Alright, I know some people will think I'm taking the yellow water here, but here are a few of Nostradamus' prophecies about Scotland. I have include the references so that you can authenticate them.

Quote:
Century V, Quatrain 93
Sous le terroir du rond globe lunaire,
Lors que sera dominateur Mercure :
L'isle d'Escosse sera vn luminaire,
Qui les Anglois mettra à deconfiture.

(Under the land of the round lunar globe,
When Mercury will be dominating:
The isle of Scotland will produce a luminary,
One who will put the English into confusion.)

There are several other mentions of Scotland, and Queen Mary.

Quote:
Century X Quatrain 66

Le chef de Londres par regne l'Americh,
L'isle d'Escosse t'empiera par gelée :
Roy Rebauront vn si faux Antechrist,
Que les mettra trestous dans la meslée.

The chief of London through the realm of America,
The Isle of Scotland will be tried by frost:
King and Reb will face an Antichrist so false,
That he will place them in the conflict all together.

Quote:
Century VII Quatrain 80

L'Occident libres les Isles Britanniques
Le recogneu passer le bas, puis haut
Ne content triste Rebel. corff. Escotiques
Puis rebeller par plus & par nuict chaut.

The West free the British Isles
The recognized one to pass low, then high
Discontented sad Rebel Scottish corsairs
Then to rebel much more and by warm night.

Quote:
Century III Quatrain 78

Le chef d'Escosse, auec six d'Alemagne,
Par gens de mer Orientaux captifs,
Trauerseront le Calpre & Espagne,
Present en Perse au nouueau Roy craintif.

The chief of Scotland, with six of Germany,
Captive of the Eastern seamen:
They will pass Gibraltar and Spain,
Present in Persia for the fearful new King.

Quite like the idea of being an "Isle".

Maybe they *are* going to dig Hadrian's Canal; or will the end of the Union cause The Great British Shift of Ye Tectonic Plates.

They *did* warn us that Arthur's Seat would spew molten lava.

:funny:

Though funnily enough Shakespeare thought Scotland was an island too. (Kind of, seven hundred of them or more, plus one bit attached to, erm, other places.)
