The minute to the Wallace letter can be found here

http://www.nas.gov.uk/about/100607.asp

As you can see they have confirmed what we have been saying for the last 6 years that the letter is indeed FRENCH and not and English copy

Its looking blxxdy good

Re the last bit on the document that says they will take 1 to 2 years the explanation is below

the group's intention on writing an article is simply to have something formally published in a suitable academic journal as a result of the work that has been done. That is quite separate from, and will be much longer than, a report that would be submitted to the appropriate ministers after the meeting next spring. The formal article will take some time to draft as well as pass through peer review, and is simply a by-product of the group's deliberations. I am sorry for any confusion that has been caused but there will be a report to ministers next year as you thought.

Aye, well done GJ.
This is a huge leap forward.

Don't see how they can justify holding on to it now.

Loads of positives to be taken from this.
A lot of work has been done behind the scenes & now it looks as though we are on the brink of achieving what Mactartan set out to do.

At the next meeting in March, when the English historians come face to face with Prof. Barrow, they will buckle. Prof. Barrow has got nothing to gain from his input - only the truth.
I suspect that the English historians dare not gainsay what our man has to say, they know that if they do, their future career is on the line - to be tarnished or broken. Not one of them will have the balls for that. They all know Prof. Barrow's professional reputation & I think they will cave in without a whimper.

The English media is a different kettle of fish, however. They will try to spin all sort of pish out of this. But again, that may be to our advantage. They have overstepped the mark through the EBC & the English newspapers for a long time. This could be the straw that breaks the camel's back.

I forsee good times ahead.

They have no valid reason to keep it other than spiting us.

I've always found it fascinating that politicians in both Scotland and England are shit-scared of Wallace more than 700 years on from his death. Remember the non-activity from the SLabourites in 2005? Even now, Kew are resisting the application for the letter's return, as they fear a rise in nationalism engendered by Wallace's name alone... Their academic arguments are being shot down in flames, the legal arguments are failing - so they're struggling to find reasons to hang on to it other than "Well it's our ball, and you're not getting it back"...
