Annual Strathaven Commemoration - no details I'm afraid.

Saturday 23rd June 2012 - Battle of Bannockburn 1314 Commemoration

Saturday June 23.
1.30 pm -
SRSM-organised from the 1314 Inn to the Rotunda for short speeches and back to the 1314 for Scoriach Admission free. Raffle. Proceeds to the group. "Freedom's Flame".
1.45 pm - Society of William Wallace march from the Bannockburn Centre to the Rotunda to meet up with the arriving SRSM-organised march.

Billy Kay, broadcaster, author and journalist, who specialises on the Scots language, will speak at the Rotunda. Others to be confirmed. Any groups wanting a speaker please let the SOWW or SRSM know ASAP.

The Tartan Arms social is always later, in the village of Bannockburn, with Ted Christopher and Gaberlunzie, organised by the local SNP, who will have Tartan Arms tickets, £15, on sale in the 1314 Inn.
