Operation went well and the surgeon removed all the tumour .. They believe it's a low level grade 1 tumour after examining it which is good news

Hi everyone thanks for all your support :saltire: . The operation went well on Tuesday though the recovery that nite was pretty grim, couldnt stop being sick, which was difficult to deal with considering my nose had been the point of entry(and exit) and was full of blood.I spent Wednesday bed bound, sleeping trying to regain some strength,by Thursday I was up on my feet walking albeit with a drip in my back for company.I got a back up MRI scan that day too.By Friday the spinal drip was out and I could walk about, got home yesterday. As far as the operation went he did remove virtually all of it,there is a wee trace left picked up by the MRI scan,it's not that he couldnt have got it,it was more he couldnt see it properly,so he had to scoop down and remove where it was sitting. They are putting me forward for Protonbeam Radiotherapy abroad,my case will go before a panel to see if it's worthy for funding. If not I'll raise the money myself for me and my wife to go over.As you all may have read or seen about the story of the wee boy being took out of hospital in england by his parents and took to the Czech republic for the protonbeam therapy, the lad is making a full recovery. It's very good with tumours like mine that are in vulnerable areas like mine for it targets the cancer cells more precisely and leaves the healthy ones alone. Should find out the biopsy results very shortly,I have been adviced they look positive,so fingers crossed. Slainte for all your support guys,it means the world :saltire:

Hi guys, just a wee update. Got a fone call from the neurologist who operated on me telling me about my biopsy results, thankfully it is a low level grade 1 tumour as close to being benign as I could have got .I'am overcome with relief, basically it was just a growth, that looked like a wee ball of jelly,he also said there was very little cancer cells in it. Next up is another MRI scan in a few weeks to determine the next move, whether their gonna re-operate or possibly send me abroad for the protonbeam radiotherapy to remove the wee bit left behind. Thank you all once again for all your support!!!!
