To be fair, he wrote a lot more than just that... "Hermless" is the preferred national anthem post-Independence (it's not what you might call militaristic..., unlike dirges such as 'Flower of Scotland'), and songs like "Take me out drinking tonight", "Mother Glasgow" and "Happed in Mist" are nothing other than classics. Ignored because he wouldn't accept the London-based media's need for stupid, irrelevant, moronic 'pop songs', he found a niche which placed him in a lot of people's hearts, mine included. Get a haud of "Gaels Blue" and listen to it a few times. F**king classic....
