One Easy Method of posting pictures on the Forum.

(You may have to click on the pictures to see them the right size)

In order to place photos on PHPbb forums, you have to have a place to store your pictures on the internet. I'm using Imagebucket for this particular tutorial.

Click on the link, click "join" and fill out your details. Eventually you'll have an account and you'll be able to upload your pictures.

To Upload is simple, all you do is click "Upload" and use the "Browse" button to find the pictures on your own computer. When you find the picture you want, click "Open". You'll see two boxes filled in one to the left of the browse button, and one beside the word: "Name". Move on to any other pictures you want to upload, and when you've selected all the pics you want to upload, click the "UPLOAD" button at the bottom of the browse buttons.

The best format for uploading pictures is called "JPEG" format, but most pics are anyway, and even then Imagebucket will tell you when you upload them. Go to "My Images" find the picture you want to put on the forum. select ALL the text in the box I've indicated below (either by clicking and scrolling or by double clicking. Copy ALL of the text.

The most important part of the URL you paste into the Forum is the bits which says "[img]urlinbetween[/img]"

Imagebucket is quite handy because it adds those two wee bits without you having to click the img button on the bar above the bit where you write the text.

1. Make sure that the URL you've just posted is flanked by the "[IMG]" first and the "[/IMG}" last (with img in lower case with square brackets.)
2. Click preview to check the URL has taken. If it's not there, make sure you don't have the "Disable BBCode selected" checked, because otherwise this won't work.
3. Eventually you'll be done and stopped typing. Preview again and Click submit.
